U1 With Sevanthi 10000 - Panjaa by sevanthi

The theme song Panjaa incorporates the retro 80’s   style music with catchy rhythms and punchy hook. An engaging, racy mix

Ela Ela... tune is pulsating with techno beats fueling up the song. Singers Haricharan, Shwetha Pandit , give us that melody feel that  amalgamates with the melodic line

Veyira Cheyyi...High pitched, soaring vocals by Saloni works well for this semi folk’ish number . Regurgitated rhythms and an archaic ‘bad girl’ template adds masala to this number

Anukoneleduga... is a  sad version of Ela Ela , with clear vocals and melody feel

Paparayudu... Well this is telugu version of yuvan’s kuthu style music.Pawan kalyan has himself lent his voice at places. Kind of funny, feels though .

After the sad demise of his mother, Yuvan bounces back with a powerful Panjaa, topped by stand out theme song.

Aambalaikkum Pombalaikkum…A folk’sh style singing by VELMURUGAN , describing the modern time love and mishandling of peoples self-interested pursuits. A worthy listen

Aathadi Manasudhan… Both the female and male versions are exceptional in terms of melody and lyrical wise … Yuvan brings back the golden Ilaya Raja style composition that stands out, A mesmerizing show stopper of the album. A must listen

Paadhakathi Kannupattu… Yuvan imparts his vocals to bring that yearning feel to this melody number, especially the second charnam “Manasu muzukka aasa” brings in that solace

Vaadi Vaadi…: Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, Tamil Nadu very own renowned folk singer  infusing his vocals for maximum impact , but the tune is a big let down ..

Kazhugu is tunefully a strong offering from Yuvan Shankar Raja

3 single , Why this Kolaveri di{Mp3 2011}

3 single , Why this Kolaveri di{Mp3 2011}

It’s Pandemonium over “kola-veri”

The trend of catchy and trashy lyrics seems to be gripping Tamil film music over the recent past. The song “Why this Kola-veri di” seems to be an, add on to list of awful lyrics absorbing the music listeners throughout …

The song is an instant hit due to its catchy, casual style of interpreting notions of a love failure, after all  lyrics say thatJ

THE REAL QUESTION – Is Dhanush and his team, making a big production out of this song!

“Earlier, it used to be the number of cassette’s sold. Then, number of CDs sold. Now, it is number of views on YouTube in a particular time frame.”

This song was leaked on Facebook first and then Sony Music scrambled to make a hastily shot video (the in-studio video says it all) AVAILABLE ON YOU TUBE OFFICIALLY, to salvage whatever they can.

The lyrics needs to stand out, but here it is for all the wrong reasons
We do question, when a film maker adds exploitative scenes to sell tickets, so why not question when lyrics are engineered this way, intentionally.

Call it soup song, flop song or whatever, is definitely a chart topper and would continue to be a pandemonium all over.
Will have to wait and watch!

What happens when LETHAL LIPPS of Tamil Nadu (L.R.Easwari) blends her vocals with bombastic voice of a FURIOUS SOUL (T.Rajendran) with the touch of Thaman.S ….You get a lively outburst of a TURBOCHARGED TAMIL KUTHU; Kalasala Kalasala.
Although surprising, as you don’t need a person like Vaali to pen prosy lyrics!!!Trying to recreate Yemadi Athadi  of vallavan .

Osthi Mamey…Title song of the album…pretty functional music with self praising lyrics

Unnale Unnale…Is a decent tune from Thaman.S  backed by his very own vocals adds charm to this number .

Neduvali…Is an engaging tune. A racy number in this album... With typical arrangements used in “Karuppannasamy of Mambattiyan” A recycled one!!!

Pondatti…Silambarasan’s singing and lyrics has been used very well by Thaman.S for maximum impact. A love duet that usually comes at the end …

Thaman.S has lived up to the expectations of Osthe team. This is definitely mass and an energetic album and will definitely pick the charts once the movie hits the screens

The Rise Of Damo… (Mandarin)
Singer(s): Hao Wang
Lyricist: Karky

A simple mediocre album with repetitive simple templates from Harris jayaraj that lacks creativeness

The album starts with an intro track Oh Ringa Ringa reminds us of AR Rahmans TAXI TAXI . Harris Jayaraj comes out clean by lifting(sorry stealing) the tune and adding his own touches to it. It is his way of saying “YOU WILL TAKE WHAT WE WILL GIVE YOU AND YOU HAVE TO LIKE IT”

The second track being Mun Andhi…Simply sedative …and that’s too much to say about it …
Once again showcases the tune lifting abilities of him . The introduction
tune reminds us of  12B and some where down, the tune is lifted from “Thoti Jaya -- UYIRE ENN UYIRE” Brilliance brought out by some Sound engineering works

The third track Yella Lama  Harris churns out a peppy number by combing the templates of his previous tracks in Ghajini (RAHATULLA,X MACHI) . A massive makeover …

Yamma Yamma… Harris has used in SPB vocals for maximum impact , yet an old hated tune that blends in Mun Andhi template in the middle for obvious reasons . Will gain in charts after the movie hits the screens …

Innum Enna Thozha… Trying to create an empowering song by roping in Pa. Vijay lyrics seems to work well for this no…Motivational with old wordses

The Rise Of Damo… (Mandarin). A lilting track with ambient Chinese percussions well fitted

How come other music directors don’t know this trick and can’t come up with chart busters every time…

He can make many more "Aadhavans" and "Kos"& “7am Arivu ”, as long as they get lapped up by masses, who cares? This is another atrocious album but Harris will sweep the awards next year. Congrats!

CREDITS- SEVANTHI TEAM

1.      Kaiya Thoda Venaa..  Packed with ambient orchestration . Typical functional music that is passable…
2.      Oru Naal Vidumurai... A song that is magnificently resonant. With minimal music that is lilting and hummable,  the Violin interlude that comes later in the song adds that oomph…(A must listen)
3.      Doodaa... The title song is a bit pedestrian. Roping in TRAJENDRAN vocals creates that magic thought. A snazziest lyrical , especially  foot tapping ‘KUTHU’ beats that wraps up in end is sure to be a hit with youngsters.
4.      Nadhiyile... Silambarasan sounds more like Yuvan , Silambarasan chooses to bestow his soaring vocals for maximum impact. A simple, tuneful song that has varied pace .Intonated lyrics add grandeur to this number
5.      Vaa Vaa... a curious blend of Euphoria, predominantly youthful feel, chirpy. A mildly mocking track with sparkling backgrounds

Abishek-Lawrence definitely makes a noticeable composing debut in ‘DOO’. An entertaining soundtrack nevertheless!

The entire album is about celebration of Carnatic music with a twist and amalgamating them with the broader spectrum of emotions, imagination and verve.

The album has eight songs. Each one having an interesting mix of musical instruments and variation makes it an exquisite.

Especially the song; “Vasudevo Sutham” is a show stopper
The song has varied pace. A combination of slow melody that gradually picks up during the second half with pulsating celebration of sorts (Amazing mix of clarinet and percussion instruments add grandeur to this number)

Overall the album is definitely a different approach to Indian Music.
Will this composite win over commercial Cinema Music …

1. Evandi Una Pethan... (Silambarasan) dares to kill the father of the Girl right away with the sword sharp Lyrics

Evan Di Una Pethan
Kaila Kadaicha Sethaan

The Snazzy and racy pepped up sound track creates an illusion of some one who is madly in love …..

The music is built on foot tapping club style remix which has varied twists and turns all through.

2. Vaanam...After their successful Duo combination in “PEASU,Vennira iravugal” Yuvan teams up with KEBA JEREMIAH once again . Amazing guitar chords that accompany throughout the song is lilting and a splendid listen.

3. Cable Raja…KUTHU number and foot tapping music and that’s too much to describe this one, nothing special

4. Who I Am... ROCK style music, Benny Dayal loud vocals makes it more herculean.

5. No Money No Honey... A foot tapping “kuthu”; tune wise typical “Kuthu” style templates. Vocals rendered by Srikanth deva add spice to this number…

VAANAM IS DEFINITELY WITHIN THE SKY LIMIT

 ALBUM : PARODESY NOISE

SINGERS:HARISH RAVINDRAN,KRISH ASHOK,T.RAJENDRAN

ReTRibution to AtTRibution: Our ConTRibution by ParodesyNoise

The highlight of the song is nothing but the payback (retribution) vocals of T.RAJENDRAN. T.R’s Bombastic voice (SUPPRESS, OPPRESS & DEPRESS) that flows relentlessly all through has been very well layered by a band named  PARODESY NOISE -Harish Ravindran, Krish Ashok, make a huge difference all through…

The song is a lively outburst of anger with delightful guitar interludes adding that lilting effect . Even  as he furiously munches those punchy linguistic  its those English phrases that creates the magic throughout …

The first single by Parodesy Noise is definitely an emphatic thumbs up .TR continues to be an unstoppable force …
